Position Summary

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high-quality work products within due timelines. On a need-basis, you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members, or liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand functional requirements.

Work you'll do:

• Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs.
• Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery.
• Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation.
• Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training.
• Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in SRE, Cloud platforms, or DevOps with large-scale microservices in production environments.
• Experience in designing SRE architecture considering high availability, DR environment, deployment strategies, auto-scaling, and load/traffic management.
• Hands-on experience with scaling distributed systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with automated configuration tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Good hands-on experience in managing and deploying Cloud Services, Monitoring, Alerting, and Handling Escalations.
• Experience with Container Orchestration including Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, including error budgets, SLOs, and SLAs.
• Proficiency in incident, change, and problem management processes.
• Ability to detect and resolve application-level incidents (e.g., crashes, slow response times).
• Collaborate with development teams to address defects and improve code quality.
• Automate repetitive tasks (toil) related to application operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for application failures.
• Implement and test new releases to ensure stability and reliability.
• Enhance customer experience by minimizing downtime and improving app responsiveness.
• Ensuring application changes do not introduce reliability risks.
• Leading and Managing day-to-day operations of business applications and platforms.
• Experience with streaming data infrastructure services, such as Kafka and Spark.
• Expertise in building and operating large-scale observability platforms for monitoring and logging (e.g., ELK, Prometheus).
• Proficiency in one of the programming languages such as Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• Experience designing and building reliable systems capable of handling high throughput and low latency.
• Experience with observability and monitoring systems such as Dynatrace, Kibana, Datadog, etc.
• Familiarity with working in rapid growth environments.
• Experience in Ansible, Terraform, YAML/Shell scripting.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud environment.
• Experience designing and building reliable systems.
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment.

Education:

BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university.
