Senior AI Engineer / Solutions Architect - SFL Scientific
Deloitte Strategy & Transactions is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the SFL Scientific team. This role involves guiding clients through critical moments, offering advisory services in areas like M&A, business transformation, and sustainability. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of emerging technologies by developing robust AI infrastructure and deployment services for novel machine learning applications.
Work You'll Do
As a Senior AI Engineer/Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and industry experts. Your responsibilities include designing and developing AI infrastructure, leveraging cloud and on-premise solutions, and constructing IT infrastructure for diverse industries. You will work with modern data architecture, data science engineering, data transformation, and manage structured/unstructured data. Key tasks involve designing scalable data architecture solutions, supporting data pipelines, defining database schemas, and ensuring solutions are designed for scale, security, and high availability. You will also adopt best engineering practices in automation, HPC, and AI/GenAI infrastructure, lead technology proof of concepts, and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy new architectures for machine learning & automation applications.
- Leverage advanced technical skills in modern data architecture, data science engineering, and data transformation.
- Design and lead development on scalable, high-performance data architecture solutions.
- Support and enhance data architecture, data pipelines, and define database schemas.
- Participate in architectural and deployment discussions for scale, security, and high availability.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, software engineering, or MLOps specializing in AI/ML deployment.
- 4+ years of experience designing cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) and supporting production projects.
- 4+ years of programming experience with Linux Shell/CLI, Python, SQL, PowerShell, etc.
- 2+ years of experience managing technical delivery teams and critical projects.
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps and leveraging CI/CD services (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Airflow, Terraform, Jenkins).
- 2+ years of experience with database development and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- 2+ years of experience with deployment and optimization tools (Kubernetes, Docker, NVIDIA TensorRT/Triton, RAPIDs, Kubeflow, MLflow, Kafka).
- Must live within commuting distance to a Deloitte consulting office.
- Ability to travel 10% on average.

Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field.
- 2+ years of experience with GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL) and HPC system software stack.
