The Customer Team at Deloitte empowers organizations to build deeper relationships with customers through innovative strategies, advanced analytics, GenAI, transformative technologies, and creative design. As a Product Design Consultant, you will enable Deloitte client service teams to enhance customer experiences and drive sustained growth and customer value creation and capture, through customer and commercial strategies, digital product and innovation, marketing, commerce, sales, and service.
We are a multidisciplinary team of strategists, data scientists, operators, creatives, designers, engineers, and architects, balancing business strategy, technology, creativity, and ongoing managed services. We help solve significant problems that impact customers, partners, constituents, and the workforce. We also offer Business Process as a Service to streamline operations and achieve greater efficiency through scalable, technology-enabled managed insights guiding ongoing transformation and operational excellence.
Position Summary: Product Design Consultant
As an experienced Consultant, you will be responsible for individually delivering high-quality work products within due timelines. On a need-basis, you may be mentoring and/or directing junior team members or liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand functional requirements.

You will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary teams, using your broad design expertise and creative flair to solve clients' complex challenges. We are seeking designers passionate about applying human-centered design in new ways to tackle wicked problems for our clients and the industries in which they operate. This role demands a unique blend of business strategy and design expertise, requiring the ability to apply design thinking principles to drive strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for delivering impactful design solutions that are balanced with business viability and technical feasibility.
This role demands a critical and strategic thinker who stays abreast of emerging trends in both business strategy and design. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design solutions into broader business strategies. Our Strategic Designers play a pivotal role in shaping Deloitte's competitive advantage through innovative and visually compelling design strategies.
The Team: Customer Strategy & Design (CS&D)
The Customer Strategy & Design (CS&D) team is a core part of Deloitte’s Customer portfolio, helping organizations reimagine customer engagement, drive growth, and enhance experiences across the lifecycle. We operate at the intersection of strategy, design, and digital transformation, bringing together strategists, designers, analysts, and industry experts.
We work with C-level leaders to tackle complex challenges—from launching new ventures and redefining go-to-market strategies to shaping omnichannel experiences and driving marketing, sales, pricing, and service excellence. Our strength lies in delivering executable strategies that balance long-term vision with practical implementation. Partnering across industries, we ensure that our solutions deliver both measurable impact and meaningful customer outcomes, guiding clients from insight to execution.
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Storytelling: Novel and creative approach to opportunity narratives, leveraging metaphors, analogs, and abstract thinking to connect insight to unique stories.
- Design: UX / UI Design tool proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and others.
- Innovation: Knowledge of or interest in future topics (e.g., Generative AI, Accessible experiences, Equity-centered Design, Sustainability) and ability to connect them to their impact.
- Research, Strategy, and Product: Human-Centered Design Research, Business Case Development, Go-To-Market Planning, Market Sizing, New Venture / New Business Opportunity Development and Launch Planning, New Venture Sustainment, Business Model Innovation, Product Strategy and Product Management.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Exposure to working in non-India Geographies (preferably US) and/or interacting with global stakeholders.
Education:
- Master's degree in Design or equivalent field.
- 2-4 years of experience within UX / UI, Human-Computer Interaction, applied research, or product design and research.
