The Global Consulting Services (GCS) team works globally across practices and borders to support Deloitte’s Consulting business. Within the Global Consulting Services, the GCS Learning & Development Team is a part of the People & Purpose pillar and is a vital component acting as a connective tissue in creating and sustaining a globally consistent approach in addressing current and future technical and business strategy aligned learning needs of our workforce and the GCS businesses globally. We achieve this through collaboration and partnerships with the Member Firm and Business Leaders for sustained quality, agility, and scale, elevating our talent experience proposition and supporting exponential business growth objectives.

Overview Of The Role

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager plays a critical role in shaping and delivering learning strategies that enable business priorities, leadership capability, and workforce transformation. This role partners closely with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into high impact learning strategies and experiences.

The Manager brings strong business acumen, applied AI fluency, and an agile mindset to navigate complexity, exercise sound judgment, and drive outcomes in a global, matrixed environment. This role does not require hands on development using authoring tools; rather, it requires clear communication, independent execution, and the ability to lead learning initiatives from concept through delivery.

This role is best suited for individuals who thrive in ambiguity, communicate with clarity, and take ownership for moving work forward.

Work you’ll do

The professional will work with the India colleagues and senior leaders across Global Consulting Services practice. The professional will need to develop a knowledge of the firm’s Consulting Services business, its strategic priorities to enable sharing of insights, trends, and escalation of issues/variances as appropriate. The professional will own sensing of new opportunities, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, lead and coach team of junior practitioners and proactively communicate with stakeholders. The professional will be required to demonstrate solid project management skills and constantly partner with senior leaders to drive global alignment around strategic priorities. The teams’ projects are typically high-impact and high-visibility aligned to the Global firm and Consulting services leadership’s strategic priorities. Projects often involve collaboration across workstreams to ensure coordination and alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business, talent, and learning stakeholders, translating strategic priorities into clear learning needs and solutions
  • Build strong, credibility based relationships with senior leaders and cross functional partners to influence direction and decisions
  • Facilitate effective conversations that balance stakeholder needs, enterprise priorities, and learner impact
  • Communicate clearly and confidently across audiences, tailoring messages, recommendations, and narratives for senior leaders, partners, and delivery teams
Learning Strategy & Program Leadership
  • Lead the design and evolution of learning strategies, journeys, or portfolios aligned to business and workforce priorities
  • Own end to end program and initiative leadership, including scoping, planning, prioritization, execution, and continuous improvement—ensuring clear milestones, timelines, and accountability
  • Drive work forward independently setting direction, managing priorities, and progressing initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Partner with learning design, delivery, and operations teams to ensure solutions are cohesive, scalable, and outcome focused
AI Fluency & Innovation
  • Apply AI fluency to enhance learning strategy, needs analysis, content curation, personalization, and learner experience
  • Stay current on AI enabled learning and leadership trends, integrating AI thoughtfully and responsibly into learning approaches
Agility, Judgment & Change Navigation
  • Operate effectively in fast changing, ambiguous environments, adapting plans as priorities evolve

Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing

We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.

Academic qualification: Master’s Degree like MBA

Work experience: 9+ years of relevant experience in learning, talent, or a related business facing role, with demonstrated impact at the Manager level

Strong business partnering and consultative skills, with experience engaging and influencing senior leaders

Demonstrated AI fluency, including comfort using AI tools and applying AI concepts to learning, leadership, or business problems (technical build skills not required)

Proven ability to independently drive complex initiatives from ambiguity to execution

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, executive ready narratives and recommendations

Experience operating effectively in global, matrixed organizations and influencing without authority

Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities.

Work hours: 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones)

Working from office: The individual is expected to come to office at least 2 days a week as per the ‘work from office’ schedule
