Job Description

Lead UX Designer, Agentic AI Platform

Zora AI, a part of Deloitte, is actively seeking a Lead UX Designer, Agentic AI Platform to spearhead the end-to-end product design for innovative GenAI-powered experiences. In this pivotal role, you will transform complex model capabilities into intuitive, trustworthy workflows, collaborating closely with diverse teams including Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science/ML, and Risk/Legal. Your mission will be to deliver highly usable, accessible, and governable user experiences across various web and/or enterprise platforms.

The recruitment period for this exciting opportunity concludes on May 15th, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own UX for core Zora AI product areas: from initial discovery and definition through design, validation, launch, and continuous iteration.
  • Translate overarching product strategy and advanced model capabilities into clear user journeys, logical information architecture, and effective interaction patterns.
  • Design specialized AI experiences, including prompt/input structures, output formats, citations/provenance, robust feedback loops, comprehensive error states, and safe fallback behaviors.
  • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, leveraging a scalable design system built on components, patterns, and tokens.
  • Lead or collaborate on critical user research activities (e.g., concept testing, usability studies, diary studies) and expertly synthesize insights to inform design decisions.
  • Define and track key UX success metrics such as task success rates, time-on-task, user comprehension, trust, adoption, and deflection rates.
  • Partner with ML and engineering teams to align on model constraints, latency considerations, confidence levels, and evaluation signals that significantly influence the user experience.
  • Ensure all designed experiences adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) and meet stringent enterprise requirements for security, permissions, and auditability.
  • Contribute to and continuously evolve the existing design system and content standards, including UX writing guidelines for AI, tone of voice, and disclaimer protocols.
  • Manage the UX team's workflow, mentor junior UX designers, and elevate overall design quality through regular critiques, coaching, and the establishment of pragmatic craft standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of extensive UX/Product Design experience with a proven track record of delivering successful digital products to market.
  • Demonstrated fluency in interaction design, visual design principles, and prototyping techniques; possessing strong design critique and compelling storytelling abilities.
  • At least 1 year of dedicated experience designing for GenAI/AI features or similar complex systems, supported by clear design rationale.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing expertise in designing complex workflows, with a preference for enterprise, analytics, or productivity-focused projects.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available for this role.
  • Ability to travel 0-10% on average, depending on project demands and client engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in designing LLM-based assistants, sophisticated agentic workflows, retrieval/search functionalities, or comprehensive evaluation/feedback systems.
  • Proficiency with Figma Make or other prompt-based prototyping tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior UX designers, effectively delegating work to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating within dynamic cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and ideally data/ML partners.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguous situations, making strategic tradeoffs, and driving alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Practical knowledge of accessibility best practices and inclusive design patterns.
  • Familiarity with trust, safety, and governance UX considerations, such as human-in-the-loop processes, audit trails, and granular permissions.
  • Background in service design or comprehensive end-to-end journey mapping across multiple channels.
  • Experience working within regulated or risk-sensitive environments, such as financial services, healthcare, or the public sector.

Key Deliverables

  • Comprehensive journey maps, service blueprints, and detailed task flows.
  • Information architecture/navigation models, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
  • High-fidelity UI designs, responsive specifications, and contributions to design system components.
  • Thorough research plans/readouts, usability findings, and documented design decision logs.
  • Clearly defined metrics and strategic post-launch iteration plans.

How Success Will Be Measured (Example Outcomes)

  • Demonstrated increase in task completion rates and reduction in time required to complete core workflows.
  • Improved user trust and comprehension of AI outputs, validated through tests, surveys, and behavioral analysis.
  • Reduced fallback and escalation rates achieved through enhanced guidance and effective error recovery mechanisms.
  • Accelerated delivery timelines facilitated by reusable design patterns and a strengthened design system.
