Junior Sport Result Manager

Role Overview
Supports the end-to-end delivery and operations of Results Technology for a portfolio of Olympic and Paralympic sports. This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals (0–2 years of experience) with a technical background and a strong interest in sport, data, and live-event technology. You will work closely with senior Sport Results Managers and collaborate with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Paralympic Committee (IPC), International Sport Federations, Omega (Official Timekeeper), and Organizing Committees for specific Games editions. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into a product and operations leader in one of the most complex and visible technology environments in the world.
What You Will Do
Support Sport Requirements & Product Definition
- Support analysis of sport competition formats and rules.
- Help translate sport requirements into structured user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to documenting use cases, workflows, and data flows.
- Track requirements and defects using Jira.
- Assist senior managers in ensuring alignment across applications and timing systems.
You will progressively develop subject matter expertise in your assigned sports.
Contribute to Testing & Agile Delivery
- Support definition of test scope and test cases.
- Execute functional and end-to-end tests on Results applications.
- Contribute to test documentation and defect tracking.
- Work with automation teams to improve coverage.
- Help ensure application providers meet delivery milestones.
You will participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Homologation activities, PRIS validation, and Integration testing across the Olympic Results ecosystem (ORIS, ODF, Common Codes, Sports Timelines).
Support Venue Results Operations (Games-Time)
During operational milestones and Games-time, you will work on-site under the guidance of senior Sport Results Managers. You will support Results Operations at the assigned venue, help prepare the Games-time Results Runbook, monitor data flows and outputs during competition, support incident tracking and coordination, and participate in daily operational meetings. You will gradually become a trusted point of contact within the venue results team.
Who We Are Looking For
Education & Background
- Recent graduate (0–2 years of experience).
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Sports Technology, or similar technical field.
Skills & Mindset
We are looking for potential and mindset more than experience. You are technically curious and comfortable understanding software systems, interested in AI and innovation in sport technology, data-oriented with strong analytical thinking, a quick learner who thrives in complex environments, comfortable working with structured tools (e.g., Jira), detail-oriented and quality-focused, and proactive and solution-driven. You also have excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), confidence interacting with international stakeholders, ability to work in diverse, multicultural teams, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability, resilience, and composure under pressure.
