Your Impact as an IT Operations Engineer Cloud Applications

As an IT Operations Engineer Cloud Applications, you contribute to reliable and stable application operations with your existing know-how in operating cloud applications combined with your pronounced hands-on mentality.

• Monitoring: You continuously monitor applications and the associated cloud infrastructure, detect disruptions early, and initiate measures for rapid resolution.
• Incident Management: You process disruptions and incidents according to defined severity levels, document and prioritize incidents, and ensure compliance with agreed reaction and resolution times.
• Deployment: You implement new software releases productively, manage rollouts, and perform planned maintenance within defined maintenance windows.
• Automation: You develop and optimize automation processes for operations, monitoring, and deployment to increase efficiency and stability.
• Documentation: You maintain and further develop operational documentation, document operational processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational quality.

Your Skillset

• Successfully completed studies in (Business) Informatics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical/natural science degree, plus at least two years of relevant professional experience in the cloud environment.
• Experience in operating Public Cloud infrastructures (e.g., Google Cloud), knowledge in Cloud Management and Security, and routine in dealing with Incident and Problem Management processes including compliance with Service Level Agreements.
• Practical experience in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) and automation of operational and deployment processes, as well as profound knowledge in monitoring and logging tools and the analysis of operational data.
• Familiarity with IT security and data protection requirements in a regulated environment, combined with a hands-on mentality and enjoyment of working directly on systems.
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken, as well as teamwork skills and experience in agile working methods (e.g., Scrum) with a willingness to continuously improve processes and tools.
