Role: IT Business Analyst Oil and Gas

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP is seeking an IT Business Analyst with 3-8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas domain. This role is based in Mumbai and requires a B.Tech/BE (CS/IT) degree or a B.TECH + MBA (Full time).

Your Work Profile

• Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, translating them into actionable functionality.
• Assess risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Model processes, data flows, and technology to understand current states, identify issues, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Create and maintain clear documentation of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability from business needs to final solution.
• Collaborate with software suppliers, designers, and developers to understand software limitations, contribute to system and database design, and ensure business requirements are met.
• Configure and document software and processes according to established standards and tools.
• Define acceptance criteria and validate solutions against business needs through comprehensive testing.
• Develop and present compelling business cases to secure approval, funding, and prioritization for solutions.
• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control Business Analysis activities within project constraints of cost, time, and quality.
• Lead stakeholder management and facilitate large design sessions.
• Guide teams in completing business analysis tasks for projects.
• Configure and document software and processes.
• Define and coordinate testing efforts.

Key Skills Required

• B.Tech/BE (CS/IT) degree or B.TECH + MBA (Full time).
• Strong exposure in the Oil and Gas domain.
• Agile project experience, including understanding of Agile frameworks and tools.
• Ability to educate stakeholders, Product Owners, and Business Partners on Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of systems engineering concepts, data/process analysis and modeling, products & solutions.

Desired Skills

• Agile certifications/trainings are preferred.
• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA certification is preferred.
• Lean Practitioner training and experience are an asset.
