IT Application Specialist - SAP HCM

Deloitte is seeking an IT Application Specialist with a focus on SAP HCM to join their OneIT team. This role involves providing day-to-day application support, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability and compliance of HR systems.

Who we are looking for

  • 1–2 years of experience supporting enterprise IT applications (application support, system administration, or development).
  • Alternatively, prior experience in an IT support role with ticket handling and customer interaction.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, preferably SAP HCM, is considered an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience working with functional, technical, and testing documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues across integrated systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented and client-centric mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement in line with Deloitte OneIT standards.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a shared services or global IT support environment.
  • Exposure to HR systems integration, interfaces, or data reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with ITSM / ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar).
  • Basic understanding of SAP HCM modules (e.g., Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Payroll integrations).
  • Experience supporting or participating in IT projects, system upgrades, or process improvements.
  • Interest in developing deeper expertise in HR IT applications and enterprise systems.

Your future role

  • Provide day-to-day application support for SAP HCM within the Deloitte HR systems landscape, working according to priorities defined by the ticketing solution.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests in collaboration with internal customers, senior consultants, and other subject matter experts.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve system documentation and knowledge base articles across supported modules and processes.
  • Execute operational and technical procedures, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual system checks to ensure system stability and compliance.
  • Monitor and support cross-system interfaces, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and overall HR data quality.
  • Support reporting and data analysis activities, contributing to reliable insights and operational transparency.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities in support processes and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
