Work You'll Do

As a Geospatial Technical Architect on the Power & Utilities Solutions team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering small engagements and components of large, complex programs for power and utility clients. Your role involves crafting solutions, guiding the quality of deliverables and recommendations, managing stakeholder relationships, contributing to thought leadership and business development, and developing junior team members.

  • Manage implementation and integration deliverables, including architecture specifications, use cases, requirements, risk assessments, design specifications, test plans/cases, and project financials.
  • Plan environments across various deployment models and edge systems.
  • Develop and maintain solution and reference architecture diagrams, including data models and data architecture.
  • Support and coordinate IT PMO processes and participate in governance and design committee activities.
  • Create and manage application build plans and timelines; coordinate integrations, user provisioning, and VPN setup; and provide application setup steps to cutover/deployment leads.
  • Manage stakeholder and vendor relationships to ensure roadmap alignment and support, and lead functional and technical workshops based on client needs.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience working with utilities clients or within the utilities sector on geospatial services.
  • 6+ years of experience designing on-premise and cloud Esri Utility Network architectures, system integration, FME, and system performance.
  • 4+ years of experience in FME integration strategy and governance, technical specification and documentation, integration architecture and design, environment planning, development and deployment, performance and bandwidth analysis, code readiness and release management, code review and validation, integration monitoring, and SOP/knowledge transfer.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
  • Advanced degree.
  • Knowledge of utility data quality challenges and objectives.
  • Knowledge of Schneider Design Tool.
  • 4+ years of consulting experience.
