Role Overview

The GenAI Engineer at Deloitte will engage in high-visibility projects, delivering robust engineering solutions that delight customers and drive business value. This role involves leveraging GenAI expertise across multiple programming languages and modern frameworks to produce high-quality, outcome-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outcome-Driven Accountability: Develop engineering solutions that solve complex problems with lean designs.
  • Technical Leadership and Advocacy: Serve as the technical advocate ensuring code integrity and alignment with business goals.
  • Engineering Craftsmanship: Write scalable, supportable code and maintain quality KPIs.
  • Customer-Centric Engineering: Engage with customers to deliver rapid, experimental, and lean solutions.
  • Incremental Delivery: Adopt a learning-forward approach targeted at rapid and maintainable deployments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with diverse teams and integrate multiple perspectives.
  • Advanced Technical Proficiency: Utilize modern practices including AI/ML/GenAI, Agile and DevSecOps.
  • Domain Expertise: Translate business/user needs into technical solutions.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate technical concepts and drive consensus.

The Team

US Deloitte Technology Product Engineering is a modernized software and product delivery team powering Deloitte's success by delivering innovative digital solutions to leading brands and internal operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience with AI/ML, including at least 1 year focused on GenAI and related technologies (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, LangChain, etc.).
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms).
  • Experience with programming languages and tools such as Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, among others.
  • Experience with big data technologies, modern frameworks (Angular, React, NodeJS, etc.) and cloud-native engineering.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps tools and processes.

Additional Information

Ability to travel up to 10% and limited immigration sponsorship available. Compensation is based on various factors and includes potential eligibility for an annual incentive program.
