Experienced AI Developer

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an Experienced AI Developer to join Deloitte's team in Budapest. This role offers the chance to contribute to our ambitious technology strategy, focusing on developing and deploying advanced AI solutions.

Technical competencies

• Develop and fine-tune AI models, including LLMs, Agentic AI, and Generative AI systems.
• Participate in building and deploying robust AI applications and services on cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Design and implement efficient AI pipelines – from data preparation through to model deployment and monitoring.
• Strong understanding of how AI services communicate with broader ecosystems, including APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructures.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) tools and techniques, with the ability to assess and apply relevant solutions for different use cases.
• University/college degree (preferred in Computer Science or Engineering, with AI specialization).
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with version control tools (Azure DevOps/Git).
• Strong command of English language (both verbal and written) and native Hungarian.

Advantages

• Experience optimizing model inference, managing resources efficiently, and designing scalable architecture.
• Experience within a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of .NET / C#.
• Experience with relational databases (preferred MS SQL).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Background in working with structured and unstructured data, embeddings, vector databases, and data pipelines.
• Understanding of responsible AI, data governance, and security considerations in AI system design.

Your future role

• Create proof-of-concept solutions for the A&A function to increase operational efficiency.
• Plan and architect new solutions based on successful POCs.
• Delegate to and mentor junior AI developer colleagues.
• Break down new features into manageable tasks.
• Research new technologies for new and existing projects.
• Collaborate with the broader development team to establish proper communication between AI functions, frontend, and backend.
