Event Marketing Contractor - Remote
Position Summary
This is a remote contract role supporting Deloitte's enterprise technology client's Cloud marketing organization. The primary focus is on the end-to-end planning and delivery of in-person, virtual, and hybrid priority programs, with a strong emphasis on marquee and executive events in the United States. Reporting to the Events Lead, the ideal candidate will have experience coordinating major industry events, leading cross-functional teams and vendors, and supporting on-site execution. Experience in tech industry and executive events is essential.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and own sub-workstreams for major external events, including sub-audience summits and CXO programming.
- Event strategy and planning: Identify dates, venues, audience, and agenda for events, focusing on an executive, high-profile audience.
- Event registration and communications: Design communications plans, draft email communications, and coordinate their execution.
- Event content & program management: Coordinate logistics for content creation, including speaker and session owner assignments, reviews, and workback timelines.
- On-site logistics and execution: Collaborate with agency partners and vendors on on-site logistics such as load-in/load-out plans, room layout, setup, and food and beverage.
- Travel is required 3-5 times per year to New York, SF Bay Area, and Las Vegas for site visits and/or in-person events.
- Candidates must be geographically based in the United States and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a similar field.
- 3-5 years of experience in B2B event marketing, coordination, or management.
- Strong executive stakeholder management skills and executive presence.
- Proven ability to manage vendors, budgets, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across different regions and teams.
- Ability to travel and support live event hours as needed.
- Experience with global tentpoles and executive events.
- Knowledge of privacy, brand, and accessibility standards for events.
Expected Pay Range: $40 - $50 per hour. The exact rate depends on skills, experience, and location, determined by the third-party vendor.
