Summary

As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP). This role is ideal for professionals who excel in complex, fast-paced environments and can translate business and technical requirements into resilient cloud platforms.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure solutions using Terraform and cloud-provider native services (AWS/GCP).
  • Collaborate with application and platform teams to provision environments, enable CI/CD pipelines, and embed reliability, security, and observability.
  • Contribute to reusable IaC modules, enforce cloud standards, and support multi-environment deployments.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability, supporting containerized and microservices architectures.
  • Participate in troubleshooting cloud and pipeline issues, supporting incident resolution, and improving automation, monitoring, and deployment strategies.
  • Mentor junior team members and influence cloud architecture and DevOps practices (for mid-level/senior contributors).

  • Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms: AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including core services (compute, networking, storage, security, identity).
  • Deep practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules, state management, and environment promotion.
  • Experience with cloud-native and DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, automated provisioning, operational readiness. Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/GKE) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of reliability, security, and operational best practices: monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response. SRE principles, cost optimization, and performance tuning experience are assets.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and explain technical concepts clearly. Mentoring or guiding others is valued, especially at the senior level.
