Role Overview
As a Business Information Security Analyst, you will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support cybersecurity, risk, and risk mitigation disciplines. You will ensure that applications and systems adhere to internal cybersecurity policies and escalate non-compliance issues when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for assigned business/technology areas within cybersecurity.
- Oversee security posture through risk evaluations, testing, and compliance checks.
- Support secure system development lifecycle and implement security controls.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and organizational change.
- Mentor project teams in securing enterprise and client-facing applications.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of related experience in cybersecurity or risk management. Strong communication skills and ability to influence diverse stakeholders are required. Familiarity with cloud security principles, SIEM, IAM, penetration testing, and vulnerability management is essential.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of SOC 2 principles.
- Experience in software development, security architecture, or application security.
- Familiarity with Agile practices, SCRUM, Microsoft SDL, and STRIDE.
Total Rewards
This permanent role offers a competitive salary between $69,000 and $114,000 CAD, bonus opportunities, and a wide range of benefits including mental health support, flexible spending accounts, and generous paid time off.
