Job Summary

As an experienced candidate, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. You will mentor and guide teams, liaise with onsite/offshore stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives in Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones and multi-subscription architecture.
• Provision and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates/Bicep, and Ansible.
• Configure auto-scaling, auto-provisioning, and optimize resource utilization across Azure services (VM Scale Sets, AKS, App Service auto scale).
• Implement network architecture including Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, routing, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and User Defined Routes (UDRs).
• Manage identities, roles, and policies using Azure RBAC and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) with security best practices for compliance.
• Set up monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights; integrate with third-party tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk).
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies using Azure Backup, Site Recovery (ASR), and zone/region redundancy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure planning, optimization, and governance (Azure Policy, Blueprints).
• Lead and manage Azure infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices.
• Define and implement cloud architecture standards, governance frameworks, and Landing Zone strategies using Azure Landing Zones, Management Groups, Azure Policy, Blueprints.
• Oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible and automation tools.
• Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and scalability initiatives across cloud environments.
• Ensure security and compliance through identity management, encryption, audit logging, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Application) to align infrastructure with business goals.
• Mentor and guide teams on cloud technologies, automation, and operational excellence.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new services for adoption.
• Establish monitoring and observability frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights and third-party tools.
• Prepare and present strategic roadmaps and status reports to senior leadership.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible).
• Expertise in Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall), identity and access management (RBAC, Entra ID), and security configurations.
• Experience with multi-subscription Azure environments, landing zones, and governance frameworks (Azure Policy, Management Groups).
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Native Services (Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Functions, AKS, App Service).
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights; Datadog, Dynatrace).
• Strong understanding of security and compliance in Azure environments (Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Security Center).
• Extensive experience in Azure architecture and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of multi-account/project Azure environments, Landing Zones, and governance.
• Expertise in IaC tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible) and automation scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver large-scale cloud projects.

Desired Qualifications

• 5+ years in Azure Infrastructure roles.
• Microsoft Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
• Exposure to cost optimization and performance tuning (Azure Cost Management, Advisor).
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud transformation programs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a track record of managing complex cloud initiatives.
