Azure Databricks Cloud Contractor

Position Summary

This role is for an Azure Databricks Cloud Contractor working on a hybrid arrangement for Deloitte through a third-party contracting service. Candidates must be based in the United States and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.

Work You’ll Do

• Collaborate with developers and testing teams to design, develop, validate and maintain applications.
• Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to gather requirements and translate them into viable solutions.
• Reverse engineer existing systems and map current state processes.
• Participate in technical design meetings to provide design and implementation suggestions.
• Utilize project management tools and techniques to support the project team.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a cloud ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Databricks including Azure Databricks design, build, and optimization.
• Strong background in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and developing Delta Lake solutions.
• Experience in designing and developing data models and integration layers.
• Proven ability to deliver scalable, high-performing batch and streaming solutions on Azure.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and PySpark within a Databricks context.
• Familiarity with Azure suite (ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Commitment to data governance, quality management, and cost optimization.

Additional Information

The expected pay rate is $87-$93 per hour, varying based on skills, experience, and location. This work is contracted through a third-party service to Deloitte. Deloitte is not the employer for this role.
