Role Summary
An AWS Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, architecting cloud infrastructure, and ensuring best practices in cloud adoption and migration.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect AWS cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop and implement cloud strategies, including security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud services.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on AWS best practices.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and standards.
- Evaluate new AWS services and tools to improve cloud architecture and operations.
- Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions on AWS technologies.
- Ensure adherence to security policies and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
Technical Skills
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience in agile and DevOps environments.
Professional Skills
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Years Of Experience
8+ years in Cloud, 3 years minimum in AWS cloud architecture.
Should Have Experience
- Hands-on experience securing AWS environment.
- Experience in cloud migration projects.
Nice To Have Experience
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation in cloud environments.
