The Role: Data Analyst Associate

As a Data Analyst Associate at Delivery Associates, you will work with leaders across the public sector (government, philanthropy, non-profits). Your contributions will involve defining their theory of change, building and operating systems for effective data collection, and assessing and evaluating programs to generate evidence that drives greater impact.

• Clearly communicating complex problems or insights through well-structured memos and slides, translating technical language into digestible narratives for various audiences.

• Solving problems by breaking them down, identifying root causes, and developing hypotheses and solutions.

Many team members have backgrounds in management consulting, public sector implementation, government, philanthropy, non-profits, think tanks/policy research, and international development, with some also coming from startups and tech. However, Delivery Associates prioritizes skill sets and mindsets, welcoming diverse backgrounds from analytical thinkers, clear communicators, team players, and avid learners.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2-4 years of relevant, full-time work experience in analytics, data science, economics, and/or program evaluation; experience in government, consulting, public policy, or tech is ideal.
• Proven quantitative analysis skills, including demonstrated experience with statistics, econometrics, and/or data science techniques.
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets is required.
• Experience with programming/econometrics software (Stata, R, Python) is preferred.
• Knowledge of visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions, big data, machine learning, and/or the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for data processing.
• Demonstrated comfort using or learning Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to support delivery, problem-solving, or internal operations.
• Ability to translate AI capabilities into responsible, real-world applications within a public sector or mission-driven context.
• Business-level English and Portuguese language skills are required.
• Must be based in and have work authorization for Brazil. Delivery Associates will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
