Overview
The IT Specialist - Sysadmin/InfoSec serves as a principal advisor and subject matter expert for new technology and information systems projects at Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This role supports system installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance with a focus on ICAM systems including Identity Management, Single Sign-On, Privilege Management, and Segregation of Duties.
Major Duties
- Advise Project Manager on new system technology initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, install, test, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Conduct analytical approaches to system troubleshooting, analysis, and programming.
- Support application prototyping, integration, and implementation.
- Develop requirements through collaboration with end-users and analysts.
Qualification Summary
Candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 level. Experience includes defining technical requirements, executing complex troubleshooting, managing network access, and coordinating project support tasks.
