Overview

The Human Resources Specialist Employee and Labor Relations role at Defense Logistics Agency offers a telework eligible opportunity. The selected candidate will serve in a developmental capacity and work on Federal civilian labor relations (LR) and employee relations (ER) matters while performing advisory duties for managers, supervisors, and employees.

Major Duties

At GS-09, GS-11, or GS-12 levels, candidates will:

  • Participate in team programs for Federal civilian LR and ER issues.
  • Provide advisory services on discipline, grievances, appeals, complaints and performance management.
  • Assist supervisors with union representative interactions and critical employment issues.
  • Counsel employees on absence, leave, and standards of conduct matters.

Qualification Summary

Candidates must meet specialized experience requirements for GS-09, GS-11, or GS-12 levels, which include advisory duties involving Federal civilian disciplinary, grievance procedures, and performance issues. Educational substitution is available for GS-09 and GS-11 with respective graduate degrees. Combinations of education and experience may also be used.
