Role Summary

As a Machine Learning Signal Processing Engineer, you will work at the intersection of machine learning, wireless signal processing/DSP, and 3GPP standards to develop AI-RAN components for next-generation RAN systems. You will design optimized algorithms, create training pipelines, and integrate modules into RAN stacks.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI-RAN Development: Design and implement AI/ML models for receivers, spectrum sensing, ISAC, and resource optimization.
  • Algorithm Optimization: Improve MU-MIMO/mMIMO functions including user pairing and beamforming.
  • Reference Design: Build ML module interfaces and integrate them into RAN software stacks.
  • Dataset & Training Infrastructure: Develop data collection tools, training pipelines, and KPI benchmarking tools.
  • Accelerated Compute: Optimize algorithms for GPU, NPU, and TPU with real-time constraints.
  • Integration: Work with O-DU stacks and ensure interoperability through open data interfaces.
  • Research & Collaboration: Stay updated on ML and wireless research, and collaborate with partners and industry alliances.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in Python or C++
  • Experience with Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Background in deep learning, RF sensing, DSP, wireless fundamentals
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ML model deployment on accelerated hardware platforms
  • Familiarity with 3GPP 5G NR and ORAN architecture
  • Expertise in digital signal processing techniques
  • Knowledge of tools like CUDA, TensorRT, OpenCL, and ONNX
  • Experience with edge deployment and accelerator toolchains
