Role Overview: Technical Lead, Engineering

As the Technical Lead, Engineering at Deel, you will drive technical decisions, oversee projects, and ensure that the team’s work meets product goals and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team projects and determine technical requirements
  • Identify risks and devise contingency plans
  • Collaborate with design and product teams for extraordinary product experiences
  • Ensure alignment with product goals alongside Team Lead and Product Manager
  • Develop software architecture for implementing team features and achieving OKRs
  • Provide development expertise through pair programming and code reviews

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software development experience with Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript
  • 2+ years as a Tech Lead/Systems Architect
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
