Role Overview

As a Senior Back-End Engineer - Forward Deployed at Deel, you will work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You will engage directly with strategic customers to understand requirements and design tailored technical solutions using Deel's APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Design and implement tailored technical solutions and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to improve product features.
  • Debug, optimize, and maintain product reliability at Deel speed.
  • Provide exceptional technical support during onboarding and post-sale.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise clients.

What You Bring

  • Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
  • 5+ years as a backend or full-stack engineer in SaaS/B2B platforms.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript and strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on API development and performance tuning experience.

Bonus Skills

Experience in fintech, HR tech, or SaaS and deploying custom solutions.
