Summary of the Senior AI/ML Systems Engineer Role

The Senior AI/ML Systems Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of machine learning solutions that support product and business goals. This role works closely with engineering, product, data science, and business partners throughout the software development lifecycle, reporting to an engineering or technical lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Business stakeholders.
• Participate in product development activities from discovery and design through implementation and deployment.
• Implement, test, and maintain machine learning models and data-driven features in production environments.
• Contribute to improving existing machine learning systems, pipelines, and workflows.
• Assist in identifying, debugging, and resolving issues related to data, models, or backend services.
• Help ensure reliable, high-quality user experiences through well-tested and maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with familiarity with common data science and machine learning libraries.
• At least 3 years of experience in data or backend engineering within production environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing machine learning algorithms in Python, particularly in areas such as information retrieval, text processing, NLP, or applied machine learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
