Responsibilities of an Analytics Engineer Marketing

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, often utilizing tools like dbt, ensuring alignment with overall data architecture and critical business requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end data pipelines, from initial data extraction and transformation to final loading, guaranteeing timely and accurate data availability for comprehensive analysis.
  • Apply advanced SQL queries and macros to efficiently transform data, with a strong focus on optimizing query performance.
  • Implement thorough data quality checks and cleansing routines to ensure all datasets are consistently reliable and highly accurate.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts and fellow analytics engineers to uphold consistency and accuracy in key metrics and definitions across the entire team.
  • Actively contribute to team processes, including occasionally leading meeting segments or proposing improvements to existing analytics workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a data analytics engineering or Business Intelligence (BI) development role.
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in SQL and practical experience with data modeling tools like dbt, alongside a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Direct experience with prominent business intelligence platforms, including building interactive dashboards in tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar alternatives.
  • Foundational programming skills in Python or a comparable language, specifically for data processing and automation tasks.
  • Proven capability to efficiently manage multiple data projects simultaneously, troubleshoot complex data issues effectively, and consistently meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with both technical and non-technical team members.
