Responsibilities of an Analytics Engineer, Marketing
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, often using dbt, that align with architectural standards and business requirements.
- Manage end-to-end data pipelines, from extraction to transformation and loading, ensuring timely and accurate data for analysis.
- Utilize advanced SQL queries and macros to efficiently transform data, with a focus on optimizing query performance.
- Implement data quality checks and cleansing routines to guarantee reliable and accurate datasets.
- Collaborate closely with data analysts and other analytics engineers to maintain consistency and accuracy in metrics and definitions across the team.
- Contribute to team processes, including occasionally leading meetings or proposing improvements to analytics workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related relevant field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar data analytics engineering or BI development role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and practical experience with data modeling tools like dbt, alongside solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports using business intelligence platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Basic programming skills in Python or a comparable language, specifically for data processing and automation tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple data projects simultaneously, troubleshoot data issues effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical team members.
