About the Web Systems Administrator Role

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Web Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise-level web infrastructure, deployments, and load balancing solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a wide range of web technologies and application servers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of web-based services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain web servers, application servers, and load balancers.
  • Manage deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Configure and support WebSphere, WildFly, WebLogic, JBoss, and ColdFusion.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for Java, Python, PHP, and SQL-based applications.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues related to web infrastructure.
  • Maintain and optimize Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
  • Configure and manage Apache and other web servers.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed across web platforms.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Scripting experience for automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle, Red Hat, AWS).
