The Opportunity
The Veterinary Professional Services team is composed of experienced veterinarians from clinical practice and the pharmaceutical industry. As a Professional Services Veterinarian - Companion Animal, you will work alongside internal sales, marketing, and regulatory teams to deliver technical education and product consultation. This role is largely field-based, supporting Territory and Regional Managers with educational presentations in various veterinary settings such as small animal practices, specialty hospitals, and universities.
Main Responsibilities
- Present technical seminars (live or virtual) at veterinary meetings and schools.
- Accompany field personnel on clinic calls to deliver in-clinic presentations.
- Assist in developing and presenting sales training for internal teams.
- Contribute to developing technical materials for Dechra's product portfolio.
- Attend veterinary conferences to support booth personnel and interact with customers.
- Maintain technical competency related to Dechra products and monitor relevant literature.
- Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Project a positive image of Dechra while complying with regulatory standards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent with 3+ years of clinical experience in companion animal practice, have an active veterinary license in good standing, and possess strong public speaking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft and the ability to travel overnight up to 75% of the time are required.
