About Deccan AI Experts
Deccan AI Experts is a pioneering company co-founded by IIT Bombay and IIM Ahmedabad alumni, with a strong founding team from IITs, NITs, and BITS. We specialize in delivering high-quality human-curated data and AI-first scaled operations services. Based in SF and Hyderabad, our young, fast-moving team is dedicated to building AI for Good, driving innovation and positive societal impact.
About the Prompt Engineer Role
We are seeking a Prompt Engineer to contribute to critical projects, working with big tech companies on cutting-edge AI foundational models. These models are designed for exceptional performance in text generation, conversational AI, and creative writing workflows. As part of a highly skilled team with niche domain expertise, you will be at the forefront of improving the accuracy and performance of State-of-the-Art (SOTA) models.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and refine high-quality prompts for AI models.
- Evaluate AI responses for creativity, factual accuracy, and context relevance.
- Provide structured feedback on prompt engineering strategies and outcomes.
- Assess AI outputs across conversational, technical, and creative tasks.
- Identify weaknesses in prompt structures and suggest improvements.
Requirements
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Understanding of AI language models, prompt tuning, and few-shot learning.
- Ability to craft prompts for diverse use cases (creative, technical, conversational).
- Familiarity with evaluation metrics for AI text generation.
- Interest in advancing the role of prompt design in AI systems.

Additional Information
This is a flexible freelancing opportunity. Pay will vary by project and typically is up to ₹1500 per hour.
