As a Department Manager, you will spend 60-70% of your time on the shop floor, interacting with your team and customers. You'll bring your department to life daily, handling organization, product availability, customer advice, commercial animation, store openings/closings, and more. You will be the go-to expert on the ground.

However, your role extends beyond that. You will manage your department like a business owner. This includes analyzing performance, anticipating key periods, building your commercial strategy, planning recruitment, and setting objectives. You will be in charge, with genuine freedom of action.

Candidate Profile Sought

The essential qualities for a successful Department Manager at Decathlon Bron:

• Leadership and Team Management: Ability to support and motivate a team in a dynamic, large-store environment. Create an environment where everyone can grow and propose initiatives, even during transformation periods. Unite the team around common goals, despite changes related to construction.
• Commercial Acumen and Activity Steering: Analyze department performance and set ambitious commercial objectives. Anticipate stock, recruitment, and organizational needs, considering the store's evolution. Design and adjust a strategy to retain customers throughout the transformation.
• Customer Focus and Field Orientation: Be present on the ground to support your team and ensure an impeccable customer experience. Resolve problems quickly and make decisions suited to the constraints of a large store undergoing transformation. Maintain customer service quality, even during construction or reorganization.
