About The Role

We’re building a next-generation blockchain tailored specifically for AI agents by combining zkVM-based verifiable execution with a high performance node network and smart-contract layer. As a Blockchain & AI Infrastructure Engineer at DcentraLab, you will drive protocol design, Rust-centric infrastructure development, and backend engineering optimizations to support multi-agent AI architectures at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Protocol & zkVM Development: Design and implement core blockchain protocols with zkVM integration for verifiable AI agent execution. Define smart-contract standards and on-chain agent interfaces.
  • Node & Network Infrastructure: Build and optimize high-throughput, low-latency node software in Rust. Architect P2P networking, consensus mechanisms, and state synchronization tailored for AI workloads.
  • Smart Contract & Agent Integration: Develop and audit smart contracts for agent registration, staking and governance. Integrate multi-agent orchestration frameworks into the blockchain runtime.
  • Backend & Tooling: Create backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) for node and agent interactions. Implement monitoring, observability, and analytics pipelines.
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with AI engineers to optimize gas models, transaction batching, and resource metering. Research emerging Web3 and zero-knowledge technologies to keep our stack cutting-edge.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications: Blockchain engineering experience (5+ years), Rust expertise, zero-knowledge VM hands-on, smart contract proficiency, backend systems experience, distributed systems knowledge, Web3 ecosystem familiarity, and AI agent experience.

Nice-to-Haves: Experience with CrewAI, A2A protocols or MCP server development; familiarity with on-chain verifiable computation frameworks, TEEs; background in building RAG frameworks or vector search; open-source contributions.
