Role Description
The Process Control Analyst II at DC Water is responsible for ensuring the integrity, robustness, and availability of the Process Control System (PCS) at the Blue Plains Wastewater Treatment Plant. This role involves evaluating PCS effectiveness, implementing new algorithms, managing control dashboards, and maintaining alarm management. It requires collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, vendors, and consultants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Recommend policies and procedures to surpass NPDES permit requirements.
- Develop and implement process control strategies using PCS and PLC systems.
- Operate and maintain the PCS network, ensuring security controls.
- Review complex design drawings and modify control logic as needed.
- Manage data integrity, permit compliance, and report generation.
- Maintain system change management and update software configurations.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical reports on wastewater treatment.
- Develop process control dashboards and document procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
Requires five years of progressive experience in wastewater treatment or similar, with a background in process control strategies and digital control systems. A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Systems & Control Engineering or related field is required, with preferred advanced degree credentials.
