About The Role

As a Staff Solutions Architect at dbt Labs, you will lead technical evaluations, deliver demos, and act as a trusted advisor, working closely with strategic accounts to unlock value from dbt and scale analytics practices.

What You’ll Do

• Design enterprise-scale data architectures using dbt Cloud.
• Partner with Sales to demonstrate technical value.
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering for private cloud deployments.
• Manage customer lifecycle from pre-sales to onboarding.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on enterprise roadmap.
• Enable strategic partners in implementing dbt.
• Engage in the dbt Community and contribute to thought leadership.

What You’ll Need

• 6+ years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of modern data stacks and cloud data warehousing.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements.
• Adaptability in fast-paced, shifting priority environments.
• A passion for inclusive teamwork and community involvement.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience in analytics, ETL, BI, or open-source software.
• Prior experience with dbt or similar technologies.
• Experience with Data Modeling methods and Data warehousing tools.
• Proven track record in leading technical sales cycles.
