About the Opportunity
The Sr. Performance Engineer at Dayforce will be a key member of the Performance Engineering team, addressing high-profile performance bottlenecks and providing cost-effective solutions. The role involves hands-on work to push application scale, performance, and reliability limits while using data analysis to proactively resolve issues.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Gather non-functional requirements and plan performance tests
- Lead investigation and resolution of performance bottlenecks
- Improve operational processes and performance engineering practices
- Design and maintain performance tests for system scalability
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and SREs
- Conduct code reviews and design planning sessions
- Develop tools for monitoring and visualizing performance data
- Analyze and report performance outcomes to stakeholders
Skills And Experience
Excellent communication, collaboration, strong debugging skills, cloud experience (Azure, AWS), hands-on performance testing using tools like JMeter, K6, LoadRunner, Gatling, and familiarity with APM tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, as well as modern programming languages like C#, Java, or Python. Proficiency in SQL, web technologies (HTML, HTTP, REST, JSON, JavaScript), and browser automation (Selenium, Playwright) is expected.
Stand Out Qualities
Candidates with advanced Azure certifications, chaos engineering, data visualization experience, statistical analysis skills, and Human Capital Management experience are highly regarded.
