Position Summary
This role provides administrative, technical and organizational support to the Human Resources Department at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing general administrative, technical and organizational support to the HR Department including supporting the Chief, Directors, and Managers.
- Processing and tracking employment verification requests.
- Monitoring the ticketing queue and ensuring timely handling of requests, escalating or assigning them as necessary.
- Answering HR hotline calls professionally, taking messages, and directing inquiries.
- Greeting and directing visitors to the HR suite.
- Reviewing and distributing department correspondence.
- Updating and maintaining content on the HR Support wiki and intranet pages.
- Coordinating gift card ordering, processing and tracking.
- Assisting with temporary housing logistics for lawyer relocations.
- Preparing expense reports, processing invoices, running reports and scheduling meetings.
- Conducting audits, drafting and editing documents, and managing HR filing and inventory of personnel files.
- Operating office equipment and ordering supplies.
- Assisting with basic Workday tasks and seasonal projects.
Qualifications / Position Requirements
Applicants should be able to manage a varied workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. They must demonstrate professionalism, exceptional telephone etiquette, customer service, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong proofreading skills. Confidentiality with employee data is essential along with a growth mindset and collaborative work ethic. A Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 3 years’ experience is preferred, with Workday experience being an added value.
Compensation
The expected base salary ranges from $65,000 to $70,000. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other factors.
