Finance Assistant

Location: Bolton Position: 6 months Fixed Term Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days) 9am-5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch

Description

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Corporate Finance team at Davies. This flexible part time role supports the Legal Cashier Team in processing high volumes of transactions (both receipted in and paid out) and assists with various administrative tasks. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are key in ensuring financial data accuracy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Daily BACs cash allocation
  • Processing of Client & Office Cheque requests
  • Sorting and receipting both physical & digital post
  • Receipting Office Account Cheque Banking
  • Processing bulk payments
  • Processing of Cost Recoveries
  • Processing of VAT reversals
  • Processing of Intel charges
  • Accurate data entry into accounting systems

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Ability to work in shared mailboxes
  • Flexibility and open-mindedness
  • Capability to handle large transaction volumes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using Sharepoint/Onedrive and Teams
  • Organizational and time management skills
