Role Description

The Stylist is responsible for providing a positive, friendly, empathetic, and professional selling experience. You will deliver 5-Star Customer Service by following the 5-Step Selling Process, achieve sales goals, and maintain excellent store presentation and operations. You will report to the Store Manager in partnership with the Sales Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Customer Focus: Greet and assist customers in-store and over the phone using appointment and POS systems.
  • Personalized Service: Prepare for customer appointments by reviewing profiles and ensuring fitting rooms are ready.
  • Sales and Conversion: Achieve sales goals by following the 5-Step Selling Process and promoting add-on services including alterations.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with leadership and alterations specialists to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain store standards, follow cash wrap procedures, and meet detailed productivity metrics.

Competencies & Physical Demands

The role requires strong customer engagement skills, integrity, drive, and teamwork. Physically, you must be able to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, reach for items, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Education & Credentials

High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred retail experience (1-2 years) in apparel or specialty stores and familiarity with computerized POS systems.
