Water Wastewater Engineer

This role supports the planning and design of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure and offers increasing responsibility in project delivery, technical problem-solving, and mentorship. Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design
- Perform planning and design for water and wastewater infrastructure systems.
- Support development of conveyance and pumping systems, storage and distribution systems, collection systems, and treatment facilities.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications.
- Assist with permitting and regulatory coordination.
Project Support
- Contribute to project delivery including scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Support task leadership on projects and coordinate with internal teams.
- Collaborate with drafters, EITs, and other technical staff.
Growth & Development
- Participate in mentorship and development of junior staff.
- Continue developing technical expertise and professional skills.
- Contribute to a collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
- EIT required; PE or ability to obtain preferred.
- 4–8 years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to water and wastewater system design.
- Experience supporting municipal water/wastewater projects.
- Working knowledge of water/wastewater design principles and engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with public agency standards, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with standard engineering tools (e.g., hydraulic modeling, drafting/design software, Bluebeam, spreadsheets).
- Ability to support design tasks and collaborate effectively within project teams.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
