Role Overview - Retrieval Operations Manager
Join a highly collaborative team committed to transformative change in healthcare. This role drives day-to-day execution across approximately 30 vendor relationships by combining people leadership with data-driven process improvements.
Day-to-Day Operations
- Lead daily retrieval operations to meet quality, turnaround time, and productivity goals.
- Monitor queues, volumes, and workflow health, adjusting plans as needed.
- Manage escalations during busy periods and unexpected challenges.
- Ensure smooth inventory flow by setting clear priorities and delegating tasks.
People Leadership
- Coach and support team members with regular feedback and check-ins.
- Foster a clear, supportive environment for team success.
- Partner on hiring, onboarding, and training for a high-performing team.
Improvement & Execution
- Utilize performance data to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Guide teams through process changes, system updates, and new workflows.
- Share best practices to bolster consistency and efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a point of contact for responsible clients and internal partners.
- Communicate performance and priorities to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams such as Business Intelligence, Product, and Client Success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years in related roles.
- At least 2 years in a people leadership or supervisory role.
- Working knowledge of provider record retrieval processes.
- Experience in frontline production operations with hands-on involvement.
- Strong ability to coach, develop and retain high-performing teams.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Data-driven approach to managing KPIs and setting operational priorities.
- Experience in healthcare insurance, risk adjustment, or health IT is preferred.
Compensation & Additional Information
The estimated total cash compensation range is $94,000—$110,000 USD. This role may require working outside standard hours and occasional travel up to 10%. Post-offer health screenings and vaccinations may be required per client and state guidelines.
