About the role
Senior System Administrator
Datavail is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to join our team in Mumbai. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our complex IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex Windows environments, including clustering, high availability, and load balancing.
- Support for cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure platforms.
- Hands-on experience with backup and restore technologies.
- Handling IT project rollouts in the Server domain.
- Configuring and managing Hyper-V, Antivirus, and O365.
- VPN configuration and management, including monitoring and configuring logging of devices and endpoints.
- Troubleshooting Windows and Hyper-V clusters, and managing load balancing devices.
- Configuring and managing storage solutions such as SAN and NAS.
- Troubleshooting replication issues at the Windows and storage level.
- Working with Azure, AWS, Hyper-V platforms, and Nutanix Hypervisors.
- Performance monitoring of servers (disk space, usage, CPU & memory).
- Blue dump analysis and troubleshooting port communication/depletion issues.
- Configuring Print Servers and patching servers using WSUS/tools.
- New server VM builds and in-place OS upgrades.
- File & Print server migration.
- Maintaining auditing and logging of servers and endpoints.
- Installation and configuration of network services like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print in Windows Servers.
- Configuration management using Ansible and Terraform.
- Troubleshooting AD replication issues and managing AD, GPO, DNS & DHCP.
- Managing Hyper-V environments and performance servers.
- Server Management using ILO.
- Providing on-call support for high-priority issues.
- Following ITIL Processes (Change Management, Incident Management & Problem Management).
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and extended hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 8-10 years of experience in end-user IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Servers, Antivirus, Citrix, and Networking.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows (2016 and higher, Win11 & Higher), Linux, High Availability, Load Balancing, and Disaster Recovery.
- Experience with Exchange, Security products, MCSE, AWS, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Citrix, SAN, NAS, and virtual platforms.
- ITIL experience is desirable. Cisco IPT expertise is a plus.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Ability to install and manage multiple application environments.
- In-depth knowledge of server hardware (including Lenovo laptops) and networking.
- Experience with VPN endpoint troubleshooting.
- Willingness to provide 24/7 support.
