About the role
About the Role
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our high-performing EMEA Solutions Engineering team, focusing on our Southern European market. At DataSnipper, a “Solutions Engineer” is essentially a technical audit advisor. Your audit expertise is the core skill required - not programming or engineering.
This is a critical, high-impact role that bridges advanced product capabilities with real customer use cases - from technical discovery and demo creation to pilots, solution validation, and strategic deal support. As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our presence, revenue growth, and long-term strategy in one of our most important markets globally. If you thrive in entrepreneurial, fast-scaling environments and want to directly influence the next phase of our hypergrowth, this role is for you.
Why DataSnipper?
Audit and finance are still massively manual — and we’re changing that. DataSnipper is a $1B, bootstrapped unicorn with 600,000+ users across 180+ countries, already embedded in the daily workflows of top audit and accounting firms. Now, we’re taking things further with our Excel Agent — bringing AI directly into where the work actually happens. Unlike generic AI tools, we don’t sit on the sidelines. Our AI operates inside Excel, with access to real documents and audit evidence — meaning it doesn’t just generate answers, it does the work, with full traceability. We’re not just applying AI — we’re redefining how audit gets done. If you want to build something category-defining at scale, this is the place.
What You Will Do
- Lead technical discovery aligned to customer pain points, audit workflows, and industry use cases.
- Create and deliver high-impact custom demos that address real audit/test procedures and highlight ROI.
- Run proof-of-value pilots with clear goals, timelines, and success measures.
- Validate technical feasibility, product fit, and use cases from both IA and EA perspectives.
- Become the primary technical voice for the Southern Europe market, representing regional needs, regulations, and customer insights.
- Provide continuous feedback to Product & Engineering on use cases and feature gaps.
- Collaborate with AEs and AMs to drive new revenue, upsell, and cross-sell across all customer segments — not only enterprise.
- Participate in all stages of the deal cycle, including discovery, demos, pilots, RFPs, and infosec questionnaires.
- Own CRM documentation, deal handovers, and solution fit validation.
- Take initiative in building new workflows, improving SE practices, and contributing to global SE initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor influencing customer tech & AI strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Deep understanding of audit practices: internal audit, external audit, controls testing, or financial advisory.
- Experience performing audit procedures, testing controls, or advising audit teams.
- Excellent Communication: professional fluency in English plus at least one Southern European language (French or Spanish preferred). Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to run technical conversations, identify customer pain points, map them to use cases, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation, discovery questioning, and ability to articulate complex concepts simply.
- Resilience and adaptability - thriving in undefined setups and evolving processes typical of scale-ups.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Digital Transformation, Finance Transformation, Financial Advisory, or Internal Audit at large corporates.
- Exposure to technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or customer-facing technical roles (e.g., SE, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager).
- Familiarity with DataSnipper or audit automation tools.
Success in this role means
- Turning complex customer challenges into powerful demo moments and pilots that accelerate decisions.
- Building business cases that speak to value, impact, and transformation — and get customers fully onboard.
- Playing a pivotal role in boosting win rates, growing deal sizes, and shaping our commercial success in one of DataSnipper’s most important regions.
