Solutions Engineer - Audit & Accounting

DataSnipper is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our high-performing Solutions Engineering team in New York City. This is a critical, high-impact role bridging advanced product capabilities with real customer use cases, encompassing technical discovery, demo creation, pilots, solution validation, and strategic deal support.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our presence, revenue growth, and long-term strategy across the North American market. What You'll Do:

  • Lead technical discovery aligned with customer pain points, audit workflows, and industry use cases.
  • Create and deliver high-impact custom demos showcasing ROI for audit and test procedures.
  • Run proof-of-value pilots with clear goals, timelines, and success measures.
  • Validate technical feasibility, product fit, and use cases from both Internal Audit (IA) and External Audit (EA) perspectives.
  • Act as a key technical voice for the North American market, channeling customer insights and regional needs internally.
  • Provide continuous feedback to Product & Engineering on market-specific use cases and feature gaps.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives (AEs) and Account Managers (AMs) to drive new revenue, upsells, and cross-sells across all customer segments.
  • Participate in all stages of the deal cycle, including discovery, demos, pilots, RFPs, and infosec questionnaires.
  • Own CRM documentation, deal handovers, and solution fit validation.
  • Take initiative in building new workflows, improving SE practices, and contributing to global SE initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor influencing customer technology and AI strategy.

What We're Looking For:

  • Deep understanding of audit practices: internal audit, external audit, controls testing, or financial advisory.
  • Experience performing audit procedures, testing controls, or advising audit teams.
  • Fluent English (no additional language requirement).
  • Ability to lead technical conversations, identify customer pain points, map them to use cases, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, discovery questioning skills, and ability to articulate complex concepts simply.
  • Resilience and adaptability, thriving in undefined setups and evolving processes typical of scale-ups.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in Digital Transformation, Finance Transformation, Financial Advisory, or Internal Audit at large corporates.
  • Exposure to technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or customer-facing technical roles (e.g., SE, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager).
  • Familiarity with DataSnipper or other audit automation tools.

  • Playing a pivotal role in boosting win rates, growing deal sizes, and shaping our commercial success in North America.
