Linux & Cloud Specialist for Modern Data Center Infrastructures
You will manage and optimize Linux servers in diverse environments, incorporating various methodologies like Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, or interactive approaches. You will leverage container standards and develop both innovative and individual solutions for our IT infrastructure. For cloud services, you will design complex monitoring solutions that ensure transparency and stability. Simultaneously, you will keep an eye on storage and production systems within our highly complex data center infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation in an enterprise environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Implementation, operation, and continuous development of modern IT infrastructures and DevOps environments.
- Support for business units in the introduction and use of DevOps platforms (e.g., GitLab CI, Artifactory) and container-based build and runtime environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, VMware).
- Coordination and moderation between business units and software development in projects.
- Standardization and automation of processes to optimize the work environment and IT workflows.
- Diagnosis and resolution of system and application problems in 2nd level support.
- Coordination of business departments in troubleshooting and implementing technical solutions.
What You Bring
- Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable education with several years of professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps applications (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) and modern virtualization and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, VMware).
- Knowledge of ITIL and experience in managing IT (sub-)projects.
- Practical experience in data center operations, automation solutions, and containerization.
- Interest in open-source solutions and solid knowledge of agile methods.
- Analytical skills, quick comprehension, strong communication skills, and customer orientation.
- Enthusiasm for complex challenges and digital transformation projects.
- Willingness to undergo a security check according to the Hamburg Security Check and Secrecy Act (HmbSÜGG).
