The Team
The Technical Content Writer at Datadog will be the public voice for our technical content. You will join a group of tech-oriented writers and editors responsible for producing accurate, compelling content for a technical audience including software developers, ops engineers, and end users. Datadog's main blog, The Monitor, covers in-depth observability, best practices, and industry trends.
What You’ll Do
You will research, write, and pitch articles for the Datadog blog including deep dives on modern technologies, monitoring guides, tutorials, and announcements of new features and integrations. Collaborate with editors, product managers, engineers, and graphic designers to ensure clarity, technical correctness, and visual appeal. Develop new formats for communicating original research, best practices, and technical tips. Continually measure reader engagement and iteratively improve content craft and distribution.
Who You Are
A polished technical writer with 2-4 years experience in technology writing, computer science or equivalent background. You are proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, Ruby, etc.) and experienced in modern application development and monitoring concepts such as microservices, CI/CD, and distributed tracing. Comfortable researching and simplifying complex topics into clear prose with the support of Datadog technical staff.
