About the Role

The Senior Security Sales Engineer at Datadog provides technical expertise during sales cycles. You will deliver presentations, product demonstrations, conduct technical evaluations, and help close complex opportunities through advanced knowledge and credibility.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the Sales team to articulate Datadog's value proposition and vision.
  • Own technical customer engagement during trial phases and address any issues.
  • Technically close complex opportunities with advanced competitive knowledge.
  • Deliver product and technical briefings and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate CRM notes and feedback regarding customer interactions.
  • Proactively relay customer and competitive feedback to technical teams.

Who You Are

  • Passionate about educating customers on observability and security risks.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to blend business benefits with technical advantages.
  • Experienced with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
  • Able to sustain long sessions and travel up to 45% of the time.
