About the Role

Datadog's Security Research team is looking for a Security Engineer II Cloud Security to create and ship impactful security detection content for its cloud security products. Join a diverse team of hackers and builders to research cloud vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and attacker techniques, and provide data-driven security findings for Datadog customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn and detect attack paths, identity risks, and vulnerabilities in cloud-native environments.
  • Leverage Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Rego policy language to build contextual detections.
  • Develop cloud native risk relationships and map compliance and security frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, research, and customers to roadmap content.
  • Innovate content development processes using tooling and automation.
  • Evangelize Datadog's security brand through blogs, webinars, and conferences.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in cloud security engineering or detection engineering.
  • Proficient with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud native tech like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Knowledgeable about modern attacker techniques and technical controls in cloud environments.
  • Familiar with compliance frameworks and security benchmarks.
  • Possess basic programming skills in Golang and Python.
  • Data-driven with the ability to measure effectiveness of security controls.
