About the Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive, UKI Public Sector at Datadog, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business acquisition within Datadog's most strategic public sector accounts in the UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for identifying and addressing the critical pain points organizations encounter while operating or migrating to cloud environments at scale, delivering Datadog's comprehensive solutions to meet their needs. This role emphasizes a hybrid work model, fostering collaboration and creativity within our office culture while allowing for work-life harmony.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect actively into large Fortune 1000 public sector entities, meticulously managing an efficient sales process.
  • Build and maintain specific relationship maps for your assigned territory, encompassing both existing contacts and aspirational connections.
  • Develop a deep and nuanced understanding of customers' business challenges and objectives.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, emphasizing value proposition and ROI.
  • Effectively manage existing customer expectations while strategically expanding Datadog's reach and depth within your assigned public sector territory.
  • Demonstrate exceptional resourcefulness in overcoming complex challenges.
  • Exhibit an intuitive understanding of the necessary steps to close business and secure customer validation.
  • Identify robust business drivers underpinning all opportunities.
  • Ensure high accuracy and consistency in sales forecasting.

Who You Are

  • You possess 3+ years of proven closing experience, including field selling within mid-market or enterprise segments.
  • You are results-driven, having consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of $1M+ and managed an average deal size of $100k+.
  • You can independently demonstrate a structured methodology for prospecting and building a robust sales pipeline.
  • You have experience working for an innovative technology company (SaaS, IT infrastructure, or similar preferred).
  • You are skilled in selling into large Fortune 1000 companies and have a strong track record of winning new logos.
  • You are prepared for regular travel to client sites within your area and other regions, utilizing various modes of transportation as business needs dictate.
