The Role of a QA/QC Manager Data Centers
As a QA/QC Manager Data Centers, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the quality standards across various data center projects. Your responsibilities span from initial project kick-off through to final hand-over, ensuring all quality control documentation and processes are rigorously followed and impeccably managed.
- Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its core values.
- Performs quality inspections in accordance with program quality control documentation.
- Participates and guides project quality control from kick-off until hand-off.
- Provides oversight of the implementation of the QA/QC management system at site.
- Coordinates quality inspections with site sub-contractors and vendors.
- Coordinates with the customer's representative on all quality matters.
- Provides oversight in the distribution of relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors, ensuring completed documentation is stored appropriately.
- Verifies that quality related site activities adhere to design documents and program standards.
- Participates in internal and external site audits.
- Coordinates all quality site inspections through the Contractor QC team.
- Ensures all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built hand over via the Contractor QC team.
- Reviews and reports on all non-conformance reports, undertaking necessary remedial action.
- Monitors the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
- Completes and coordinates the approval of site QC technical submittals to the customer.
- Coordinates with the Client and Contractor QA/QC team on all quality issues.
- Coordinates and chairs weekly QA/QC site meetings with Contractor QC personnel.
- Assures all technical documents relevant to site quality control are current.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this QA/QC Manager Data Centers position will bring a strong background in data center quality assurance and control, coupled with robust technical knowledge and certifications.
- Possesses data center commissioning/QA experience.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Auditor, and/or Quality Engineer are a plus.
- Experienced with ISO 9001 certification processes.
- Proven history and experience driving improved Quality at scale.
- Able to work seamlessly across functional and department lines.
- Experienced with standard data center equipment, including: electrical distribution equipment (switchgear, panelboards, VFDs, low voltage power, moulded case circuit breakers, overhead IT busway), Diesel Generators, DX units, air handlers, water treatment equipment, BMS modules, and hot aisle containment accessories.
