Overview
At Databricks, our customers challenge us with solving some of the world's toughest data problems. Our Solutions Architect team understands the technologies powering our platform and the broader cloud ecosystem, combining them to solve complex issues. As a Solutions Architect - Emerging Enterprise, you will help lead the adoption of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform and promote the Lakehouse paradigm across public cloud providers.
The Role
You will work on open-source projects such as Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership and consulting for big data and AI solutions.
- Building and presenting reference architectures and demo applications.
- Escalating support for critical customer issues.
- Evangelizing Databricks open-source initiatives through various forums.
- Traveling to customer sites (up to 30% travel, mostly local).
What We Look For
Successful candidates will have:
- 5+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
- Experience designing distributed data systems.
- Programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed data technologies.
- A degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, along with Databricks Certification as a plus.
